Each package contains 2 tablespoons of live water kefir grains, ready to help you create your own water kefir.
You’ll need 1/4 cup of organic cane sugar, 3.5 cups of filtered water, and basic equipment like a glass jar, cover with a rubber band, and a sieve for the fermentation process.
Ferment for 24-72 hours. Taste to confirm proper fermentation by noting reduced sweetness and bubbles when shaken.
Your kefir grains have been in transit for a few days without being fed. As a result, they will need time to acclimate to the new sugar levels and temperature of your home environment. Due to this adjustment period, the fermentation process might not occur within the initial 72 hours. If you encounter this situation, we recommend discarding the liquid and starting a new batch. If the texture is syrupy, it might be due to over-fermentation. Adjust the fermentation time to achieve the desired consistency.

While organic cane sugar is recommended, you can experiment with alternatives like coconut or brown sugar.
Begin with small amounts, around 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Gradually increase as you gauge your body’s response and preference.
We ship free via Canada Post Regular mail. This shipping method usually arrive within 2 – 15 business days. There have been a lot of delays with Canada Post and some orders have taken up to 3 weeks. The grains will still be ok. It may however take a few batches to ferment.
We also ship via Canada post Xpresspost which will arrive in 1- 3 business days after shipment. This option does not qualify for free shipping and comes with tracking a number which will be emailed to you.

Keep extra grains in the fridge in sugar water (1/4 cup sugar to 1 cup water) for up to 2 weeks.
