Strawberry Lemonade Delight

Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
1-2 tablespoons molasses (adjust to taste)

Instructions

For all these recipes, the proportions provided are tailored for a 1-liter swing-top bottle. If you’re using smaller or larger bottles, feel free to adjust the quantities accordingly. For each recipe mentioned above, approximately 3 cups of water kefir should suffice for a 1-liter bottle.

Water kefir doesn’t adhere to strict rules; it’s a forgiving and highly adaptable process. Always remember to maintain some headspace. Ensure there’s a few inches of room in your swing top bottles. Seal the swing top bottles and allow them to ferment for at least 24 hours, or even longer if you prefer a more pronounced fizz. Don’t forget to burp the bottles by briefly opening them every 8 – 12 hours during fermentation.

After fermentation, strain out any added ingredients, transfer the flavoured water kefir to the refrigerator, and indulge in the distinctive and invigorating flavours of your homemade water kefir creations.
